All research- The return of ornament: design when agents do the buildingOrnament did not disappear because it was ugly. It disappeared because it cost too much. As the cost of making things approaches zero, the labor-intensive beauty of the past becomes usable again, and what remains for people is to choose, to hold back, and to check.
- Running an AI-native companyA working model for a company in which AI agents do most of the work. People decide what matters; agents prepare and carry out the work.
- Organizational memory for interchangeable agentsHow can an organization keep what it has learned when the model or agent doing the work is replaced? We propose a five-stage flow — Trace, Episode, Research, Review, Library — that turns working records into reviewed knowledge.
- AFHL: Agent-first, Human-last engineeringA way of building software in which agents plan, implement, verify, and record the work, and a person comes in last to try the real thing and judge its UI and UX. Based on the ten days in which we started five apps.
What we work on
We follow frontier AI every day and publish what we learn as research.
Work in progress appears as Notes, and finished work as Papers. We publish before the work is finished and improve it with each new version. Our first topics are how to run an AI-native company, and organizational memory that survives a change of model.

We give design the same weight as technology.
Our founder is a designer by training. Our logo, our app interfaces, and this website all follow the same principles and the same design rules. When AI agents do the building, deciding what is good is still a human job.

We turn research and technology into working software.
We are researching and building Moss, a system that delegates work to AI agents, records how the work was done and what came of it, and feeds that into the next task. We build our apps with AFHL: agents take the work from planning through verification, and a person tries the result by hand.
